The Blind cabin is a pet-friendly, off-grid, solar-powered, dry cabin with two translucent walls (one is lift-able) for stargazing. Personal chairs and hammocks are available outdoors.

  • We have strategically placed our cabins away from each other by about 75 yards, but still close enough to the outdoor restroom/shower, commons area and parking.

  • Yes! All 5 of our cabins are pet-friendly, there is an additional cleaning fee for guests with pets (2 pets max). Pets are allowed in the Commons Area on the leash. It’s the owner’s responsibility to make sure their pet is friendly with other pets and guests (remember we have 5 total cabins and hope that everyone has a pleasant time together). Thank you!

  • No, all five of our cabins share a centrally located outdoor restroom, which requires less than a minute to walk to.

  • Yes! Living in the forest, we get to share this beautiful space with all types of critters, big and small. If you’re a sensitive type, we encourage you to book another place in town proper (though we can’t promise that they don’t have their own critters).

  • There is a refrigerator with an individual shelf for each cabin inside the Commons Area. There are also dry food storage totes there. You may keep some items inside your cabin, but if left outside the airtight container, you’re inviting unwelcome guests like ants into your cabin.

  • There is one shared 2-seater hot tub centrally located between all the cabins. Guests are encouraged to place their tag on the time they want (one hour increments), the board is located in the Commons Area. If no one signs up after you, feel free to turn into a prune.

  • Most of the cabins are solar powered and have no WIFI connectivity. The Shed Cabin is the only connected cabin, with WIFI and other amenities. Sometimes you may be able to get cell service, depending on your provider. The Commons Area is centrally located and has access to AC power and WIFI.

  • Forest fires are the biggest danger we face while living in Montana, so in order to prevent forest fires, we have a single fire pit, which is centrally placed nearby the Commons Area. It is the perfect place to see the sun set. Whenever the statewide fire ban is in place, we use a propane fire pit instead.

  • Yes, we have 2 outdoor showers, centrally located between the cabins. The showers are outdoors and solar, which means if there is sun - the water is hot. No sun - it’s cold. Our Wim Hoff enthusiasts particularly enjoy the cold morning showers, will you join them?

  • There are no guarantees in nature. It may be cloudy or smoky (from forest fires) during your stay. It makes us really appreciate those perfect, clear days and stargazing nights.

  • As much as we love your little ones, we created this space for adults to reconnect to nature and to each other.

GEAR

THE PUPS

  • The Short Version: It’s a flat $50 per pet, per stay.

Unlike most hotels or rentals that charge per night, we want you to settle in and stay a while without the math getting in the way.

    • Max Pups: 2 dogs per cabin.

    • No "Scale" Tests: We don’t care if your dog is 5 lbs or 105 lbs; we have no weight limits. All well-behaved dogs are welcome.

    • The Trade-off: We don’t ask for a security deposit, so we just ask that you be mindful and responsible as a pet owner.

  • They all welcome four-legged friends, but they each have a different "vibe." The Ranch Hand is our newest refuge and offers a bit more floor space for big sprawlers, while The A-frame and The Stargazer are perfect for pups who like to watch the world through our mechanical glass walls. If you’re bringing a "Giant Breed," just let us know and we can tell you which cabin has the best layout for their specific wingspan.

  • From Great Danes (hello Baxter) to Chihuahuas, we don't believe in size limits—every well-behaved member of the pack is welcome here. To ensure each cabin remains a spacious sanctuary, we have a 2-dog maximum per cabin. There is a simple $50 flat fee per dog for the duration of your stay, which helps us keep our 100 acres and handcrafted cabins in pristine shape for the next set of paws. (Note: If you are booking a full resort buyout, these pet fees are completely waived!)

  • Honestly? Probably not. We built this place as a "digital sanctuary" where the primary soundtrack is the wind through the trees and the local birds. If your pup finds their voice every time a squirrel moves or a neighbor walks by, it might feel a bit stressful for you (and a bit loud for others). We ask that our guests help us maintain that quiet, meditative vibe so everyone can truly unplug.

  • In our woods, 'well-behaved' simply means your dog can enjoy the Montana air without disturbing the stillness of the ridge. We welcome dogs that are comfortable in new environments and won't be stressed by the sounds of the forest or the sight of a distant neighbor. Since many guests come here specifically for the deep quiet, we ask that you help us maintain that sanctuary by managing excessive barking. It’s a place for dogs to be dogs, and for humans to finally hear themselves think.

  • This is the real-deal Montana woods. On our 100 acres, you might cross paths with deer, elk, or the occasional turkey. While rare, bears and mountain lions do call these mountains home. Because of this, we ask that you keep your pup on the leash in the shared areas and when hiking around our property.

TECH

  • To help you fully immerse yourself in the surroundings, our individual cabins are kept as "digital sanctuaries" without Wi-Fi. However, high-speed internet is available at The Commons Area, our shared community hub, should you need to check in or download a map for your next hike.

  • Our cabins are off the grid, which means there is only a solar panel providing DC electricity. It could be enough to charge your phone, unless its a cloudy day, then you can charge up in the Commons Area, which has AC power (normal electricity).

  • It’s safe to say no, we don’t have cell service in these mountains. But every once in a while a guest can get a signal here and there, depending on the provider.

  • You won't find any screens here—we find the "Stargazer" views and the forest canopy provide much better programming. We encourage guests to swap scrolling for a book or a board game in The Commons Area.

  • If you’d like to listen to music or a podcast, please use headphones so that the only thing your neighbors hear is the wind in the trees.

  • We highly recommend downloading the AllTrails app for local hiking and a Star Chart app to make the most of our dark Montana skies. Since we are a "pet-friendly" resort, having a digital copy of your vet records or a local pet-services map saved to your phone is also a great idea. Get started with this helpful guide.
